We have returned from our R&D journey, with a slew of ideas for food and drink specials—just not this weekend, we need to assemble supplies! And let the jet lag wear off and all the rest. Regular menu all weekend, and don’t forget: the Grove opens next weekend with Open Mic with Andy Swift on Friday, June 13 and Farewell Transmission on Saturday, June 14.
SONG OF THE DRIVER IN THE WIND-SHIELD
Before me I see what one day will vanish forever
fields of high red grass
a river of shining rugged rocks
a mountain short of light
and another more distant summit where it’s already night
a deep red sky
and a wind that enters with its birds into the sunset
also traveling
The quivering of the banana groves by the road
the stagnant waters in the ditches
the precipices in the narrow paths
The dark sound produced under the trees
and the last living light of the afternoon
traveling towards night
Before me I see what one day will vanish forever
