We have several celebrations happening in the Grove this weekend, and of course everyone is welcome to come play yard games, watch the clouds go by, and other such Summery things. It seems easier in Summer to remember that all our celebrations should include reverence for the natural world, it being our home, and also because, as Wendell Berry wrote:
“Whether we and our politicians know it or not, Nature is party to all our deals and decisions, and she has more votes, a longer memory, and a sterner sense of justice than we do.”
So please come join us for the music of Mike Gagliardi on Friday evening from 7-10pm, the stripped down blues of Righteous Villains on Sunday 3-6pm, and have a bit to eat and sip while you do:
